Looking South from Kakanui

On the way home from Oamaru stopped at Kakanui as the rain started. This photo is looking south to Dunedin where the weather can be terrible. The other photo shows the swell onto the beach. When I arrived home in Palmerston there was no rain and the roads were dry.  To the west it was possible to see the rain precipitating.  We did have a brief bit of rain a little later when I was tucked up in my chair with the cat.
