Lower Orchard and Marsh - Eleven of Twelve
Today I have been to visit the offices of our local paper. They are doing a story on my first year of blips and wanted to talk to me as well as take my photograph. As anyone who knows me well will know I am not good on the other side of the camera, but of the four taken two were reasonable.
After my visit to the paper I did some shopping in Waitrose, not something I do often as I prefer to have groceries delivered, but occasionally when I am in town I like to have a look to see what is new. Waitrose have just started selling pre-packaged gluten-free sandwiches, so I bought one for my lunch. This is not something I have done before as being a coeliac there were none to be bought! They produce two varieties, egg salad and prawn salad on Genius bread; I followed this with a Warburton's lemon and poppy seed muffin!
Today's blip is number eleven in the series showing the lower orchard and the marsh. Everything is much greener, as you would expect with the rain we have had; last month's picture can be seen here for comparison. The pond is smaller, but the grass around it is still waterlogged and the grass needs cutting; a job for the weekend if it stays dry.
