Julie

aka Beeonhive visited today. She cheered me up as I was heading for the doldrums today. She & I worked together & since my demise from the "office" she has kept in touch. We meet occasionally for a coffee or a nose around a local church.

Julie will marry Matt in five weeks time & I had offered to help with the photos. Because of my current incapacity I've said that I won't be able to help after all & may not even make it to the wedding which will be a great shame....fingers crossed I make a miraculous recovery.

This time last year J was coping with the big C but look at her now - positively blooming. Bless you Julie, thanks for caring and thanks for the Jammie Dodgers which I really "hate" & sorry I didn't open them !

It has been a fine day today with plenty of sun.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend

On this day in history the Kon-Tiki a boat made of balsa wood completed a 4300 mile voyage. The Norwegian captain was attempting to prove that Polynesian Islands could have been colonised by South American indians. Despite his success scholars continued to debate the theory. The Kon-Tiki is now housed in a Museum in Oslo...
