By a crossroads at Munlochy.

They (Highland Council, presumably) have cut the verges here... and a bit more by the look of it. With budget cutbacks, there are very few other bits of roadside verge being attended to. It's made quite a difference in some parts, with the roads seeming much narrower. This cyclist now has some more road hazards to avoiding - nettles, thistles and ragwort, to name a few. That last one being particularly nasty as it's highly poisonous. That fact on its own is probably a good reason not to cut/mince it up now, as the vapour and any bits flying about will be a health hazard to the machine operators, and anyone nearby. Pity no-one thought of that when they stopped dealing with it a few years ago. It's subsequently spread so much now that it might be regarded as out of control.

The only bits of verges being cut, seem to be for safety purposes - ensuring visibility at iffy places, like above. Been a few accidents here.

At home, scanning commenced. Two films done.
