The First Stand

You can come out from behind the sofa, now, folks. It went a lot better than many of us had hoped, and even though Roy's principle tactic was turning the England penalty area into a car park, and the injury concerns are continuing to mount, I'm feeling curiously optimistic about the rest of the tournament.

I imagine that feeling will last for about four days.
