An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

It's a new dawn...

It's a new day.  It's a new life for me...and I'm feeling good!  :-))

Woke up after the best night's sleep in ages!   Had expected to have quite a restless night what with it being a new bed, new bedroom, new house but I was out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow.  Think the champagne helped.

David got up around 9ish and before heading for his shower, pulled up the roller blind in our bedroom to reveal blue skies and sunshine and that view that I love already and know will grow to love even more.

Eventually managed to drag myself out of bed to get showered and dressed.  Headed downstairs.  Kenny was also up and dressed and Ele arrived in the kitchen about 10 mins after me.   Alan had slept well too and was in his room watching tv and grinning from ear to ear.  Phew!

First things first, got the kettle on and the bacon, sausage and black pudding into the Aga.  Kenny and Ele went a wander down the main street and came back with freshly baked rolls and these joined the breakfast table as well as coffee and eggs, sunny side up.

Another day of unpacking.  Concentrated on the bare essentials as the builders / decorators will be back in tomorrow so there's lots we can't unpack until their work is completed and they are gone.  I suspect we'll be living in the kitchen for the next couple of weeks!

Made a huge pot of a spag bol and garlic bread for tea and we all gorged on that then Ele and Kenny left around 10.30pm.

David off work till Friday and Alan not starting his new school till Wednesday but no lie in tomorrow as the builders will be here at 8am!!!  The Queen's Jubilee seems to have passed them by!
