Earlier friends J and A dropped by, paying a visit to Edinburgh from Dundee - a trip to IKEA and a bit of Festival dance was on their schedule after Porty - things that Dundee can't provide. Great to see them but I'm not sure why I didn't ask to take their portrait on the beach. The moment never seemed quite right as we walked along the beach and back on the Prom and then stopped for some food and drink at the Espy. I took some pics of J in the studio when we were both at Stevenson - some of my favourite social portraiture work - so it would have been good to take an updated portrait. Just have to ask them next time!
Later on we went out for a meal at J and G's. Pre-Dinner drinks in their summerhouse and then most excellent food and chat, with a 1980s musical soundtrack. And then back home on the number 26 nightbus - very efficient!
