Strong Sprouts

The horrific weather last week left me worried that my garden wouldn't survive the constant rains....

Worry no longer, a check of my crops has left me some happy with the strength of those tender seeds. My brussel sprouts have proven their strength, shooting up toward the sun more and more everyday. Even my asparagus has managed to survive - I was doubly concerned, as it is planted in a trench (which turned into a small pool) and as the crop grows, you replenish the earth around the stalk. Today's inspection has yielded positive results as every plant is present.

The pumpkins and corn didn't fair as well - and BJ will have to replant this weekend. It's a hard pill to swallow and preparing the crops again for another planting may be difficult due to the amount of water remaining in the ground. We'll have to wait and see what is to come.
