At the fête
I went to a nearby village to visit their summer fête, mainly to photograph the Spitfire and Hurricane supposedly doing a fly-past at 1.15. That didn't happen. Apparently they were airborne en-route when some kind of panel came off one of them. Initially the fly-past was shifted back in the timetable, but then it didn't happen at all. So I photographed parts of some of the vintage cars that were on display there as those cars had 'character'. This one, and I've chosen a second one for the 'extra' photograph.
Weather-wise it has been a perfect summer day - 25degC, fluffy white clouds, and azure sky. Thought I might also add one of the microlight aircraft that was stooging around for a while. That pilot would have had a shock if the roaring RR Merlin engines had zipped past him/her at a rate of knots!
