This is quite the most.....

....prickly rose I have ever come across.  It's had a very chequered history too.  It was given to me many years ago by someone I worked for and they told me that it was a very special one.  It's name has long gone, it's appeared to die off several times but I've managed to rescue it again and again.  It came with us to the new house and lives in an ugly plastic tub but continues to flower now and again.  Single and with no scent but this morning the light just caught it and I thought it looked lovely.     

My extras I also took early today after giving everything some water.  As you can see my 'garden' is a jungle but it can look pretty in the right light.
