Backblip


Well after lots of anticipation (on my part :-) my NZ blipper pal Karen Julia and her lovely husband Dave finally arrived in Auchterarder from Christchurch, via Tokyo and Edinburgh, on the first week of an amazing 7 week adventure for them.

It is so, so lovely to meet them at last!  :-))

Some coffee and cake and we were chatting like we'd met a thousand times, which of course we have virtually, on blip.  (Regardless of what has happened to Blip since it became Blip Polaroid, I am still eternally grateful of the people it has brought in to my life)

David arrived home from work and we had drinks and chatted some more.  So much so we ended up having a very late dinner (sorry K&D!) then it was time for bed for two tired Kiwis, who were still adjusting to UK time.

It is so great to finally meet.  

The fern is on the side of a gin bottle which was one of many lovely gifts Karen and Dave brought.   This bottle is extra special though as Karen and Dave decorated it themselves (based on this :-))  I think the airport was sold out of the real thing ;-)))  Dave did the fern and the NZ.  Very impressive I have to say and the bottle will make the perfect candle holder for the Gin Palace :-)))
