The sun shone.  That needs to be noted, because it has been a while since it happened.  People smile so much more when the sun shines. 

Several meets in the city centre and a bit of shopping too.  Those August birthdays loom large.  

My girl's best friend joined us for dinner this evening.  These children that you have know since pre-school that walk into your house as intelligent, beautiful adults; it never ceases to amaze me.  The rhubarb cordial vodkas went down a treat and the girls danced merrily away.
