Egton Bridge
Our last night before the final days' walking to Robin Hood's Bay tomorrow afternoon. Apparently they have a live cam, so sometime about 4 you may catch us. This is a lovely little village which until we received our itinerary hadn't rung any bells. But then I realised we'd be very close to the graveyard where my paternal grandparents are buried . They retired to Whitby in the 50s when my grandfather retired and found such a tranquil spot overlooking the moors, so this afternoon we went up to visit. I hadn't been in nearly 20 years, but was pleased to see the churchyard is well kept and the stone although weathered, very readable.
These are one of the two sets of stepping stones we have to cross to get to the pub for dinner, so will be going easy on the alcohol!
