A dream or a nightmare?

This is in the centre of Penrith. It looks a mess, but is actually far better than it has been. It will be, by October so the signs say, a link between the new Sainsbury's store and the main centre of the town. The poster, now largely hidden amongst the debris, has been showing us for a long time what it is going to be like when it is finished. Today it actually looked as if it might get there.

After years and years of planning, wrangling, consulting, reviewing, followed by more planning etc., it will just be good to see it completed.

I think it will be an asset to the town; some people think differently!
