Pocono Blipmeet

A fun day at Pocono Raceway, spent in the very good company of wall and KangaZu, who drove out to watch Mr. W race.  They came loaded down with delicious things -- a fabulous Irish Whiskey cake, some to-die-for brownies, and some heavenly home-grown tomatoes!  There was also the gift of a very thoughtful and beautifully framed photograph from the last time we all met here.  What truly lovely people they are, and what a pleasure to be able to spend time with them today.

As we were sitting outside before lunch, KangaZu squinted her eyes into the distance and asked me, "Are those goats?"  Sure enough, there was a rather athletic young lady with two baby goats on leads -- definitely not something you see every day at the track!  We walked over and talked with her, and she told us the kids were two weeks old, and were being bottle fed, so they had to go everywhere she went!

Mr. W placed third in today's race, which puts him in a good position for tomorrow's competition.
