The Running Man

Due to an unfotunate accident with Andy's mum we didn't get to the Triathlon, probably just as well as 30000 spectators were expected on one of the hottest days of the year. 

The good news is that he completed it under two hours.

This morning we went for a walk around Richmond Green and the site of the 17th century Richmond Palace.

Later we met Emma for coffee then went back to hers to see Andy off. We stayed at the house to keep Pat company, going out for a walk by the river and an ice cream mid-afternoon.

Emma kept us posted on Andy's progress and finally sent a photo of a very relived man on his back just after six o'clock (see extra).

Late News: I don't seem to be able to load 'extra' photos on my tablet, either through the app or the Web based program, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see Andy in all his sweaty glory.
