Snow at Tarawera

It has been a truely bitter day. Todays temp was to get to no higher than 9 degrees.

While no frost, some of the major roads in the area (Napier / Taupo and Dessert Road) have had a dumping of snow. So the wind chill factor here is very bitter. Lots of unusual weather, sunshine on one side of the house and rain on the other.

A very late afternoon trip to Tarawera to see if we could capture the snow on the big mountain. No luck for me, but my friend Trish had a better result. Snow at Waikite Valley and Reporoa as well.
