Painting and Decorating
I quite often use the Little Misses' paintbrushes on pastry because I'm nowhere near domesticated enough to actually own a pastry brush! This one has been outside for months so I should probably make a mental note not to use it for anything other than painting!
A busy Friday today.... After gleefully dropping the kiddies off at school I carried on to Milton Keynes and had a lovely shopping spree in John Lewis with some of our wedding gift vouchers - we now own a new dishrack and mat and a kitchen clock... We're so rock and roll!!!
The clock was an essential purchase as the new oven doesn't have a clock on it and for someone with my punctuality issues that's not helpful!
Speaking of the new oven..... Last night I was quite excited to be able to cook something after almost two weeks without an oven. What did my children want for dinner? Cheese on toast! The oven was christened with cheese on toast!!!
It was lovely having a few child free hours today - a yummy latte in Costa, a wild spending frenzy in the Pound Shop, a blissful browse in Waterstones and a look at practically every item in John Lewis with a view to getting our vouchers spent. So many lovely things!!!!
An afternoon on the Wii with Miss E - who is surprisingly good at bowling for a four year old! - followed by swimming and Tescos shopping. Miss L fell asleep in the car and was tucked up in bed by 5.20pm!! And Miss E followed at 6.30pm - bless her, she went into Miss L's room where she'd set up her mattress for another sleepover. Undeterred by her sleeping sister she wanted to have a sleepover with her anyway....
Sometimes she breaks my heart!!!!
