On my 18th birthday I was given a Swiss cheese plant - it was a joint house warming pressie as I got the keys to my first flat on that day. 

The original sadly didn't survive through numerous house moves, but every birthday I ensure I start the year with a Swiss cheese plant in my home. Two decades on, I'm on the 5th generation. This in Mo V, a symbol of compassion, independence and resilience.
