Murdoch Mysteries Fan Day

Linda and I visited the set and backlot of Murdoch Mysteries - a TV show set in Toronto around 1900 and follows the adventures of Detective William Murdoch as he and his fellow policemen solve murders and other crimes.

The weather was perfect and we had 2 hours to tour the whole place (which was plenty of time). It was a blast. We first passed through the morgue, then we wandered about the backlot for a while and met up with Constable Henry Higgins (played by Lachlin Murdoch, whose surname is ironic). Unfortunately, none of the lead actors were on hand for our tour window but it was great fun anyway. We wandered around some more then went back inside to explore the Police Station No. 4. set. The front desk, Constable Crabtree's desk, Inspector Brackenreid's office, Detective Murdoch's office (detail of his desk is shown above), the hotel suite, as well as props and costumes.
