Rosa moyesii 'Geranium'
A stunner and a favourite who fleetingly flowers once a year and is easy to miss. Large orange hips follow later.
A nice day. We went to Bantry this morning to the boy's graduation ceremony from the Gaelscoil (Irish speaking school). Hard to believe he has come all the way through national school already.
Then he came home with us and, wonder of wonders, the rain stopped and the sun even shone for a little while!
We tidied up a bit in the polytunnel, there is so much to catch up on in there. Then we picked, blanched and froze a big batch of peas. Thats a good feeling, to have made a start on filling the freezers again for next winter.
And the boy did a bit of mowing for us as well.
