A river runs through it

A day out in Hoy.  Weather was perfect: warm but not too hot.  I walked to Rackwick and back, doing about 13 miles.  Time for soup and crumble at the café afterwards, and a wander along Moaness beach, watched by a seal.  Came home tired and happy, a perfect day out.

This picture was taken on the path to Rackwick - hard to chose a picture for the day as I had a few bonnie ones.  The brilliant green of the ferns, beside the bright purple of the heather flowers, was one of the highlights for me.
