Nant Ffrancon pass

TomTom wanted to take us back home via the M56/M6 but we decided we preferred the old A5 route instead.  Just as well because we have read that the M56 has been closed due to a propane tanker fire near Chester.

The A5 route took me back to my university days when I used to come up walking in Snowdonia.

The weather was drizzly with low cloud as we came up the Nant Ffrancon valley through Bethesda but a clearing in the clouds lit up the valley floor with a beam of sunlight.  I leapt out of the van and managed to get three shots, only two of which showed the sunlight.
