Beach

I had planned to head out to do something with the children this morning. From the moment they got up they have been playing so nicely together so instead of going out I just opened the back door and left them to it. I got on with some jobs that needed doing and they played under the tablewith their cuddly toys, in the "birdie house" play frame, on the trampoline with angry birds and pigs and in Euans bedroom with all his cars on his road rug. Four hours playing together with minimal arguments, just lovely to hear them chatting and playing.

We headed out in the afternoon instead and went to the beach via Home Bargains for buckets and spades. It was cooler in the afternoon I think and getting a bit blowy down the beach so they were both a bit chilly after paddling to fill buckets of water and making sandcastles. An hour was enough and thankfully I had dry trousers for each of them in the car, only because they had chosen to wear shorts and I like to take trousers incase they get cold. We left to get some shopping and as we came out of Lidl, it started pouring with rain. Glad we made the most of the sun in the afternoon!

Fajitas for tea, with home made smoothie to drink, enjoyed by us all.
