Diary of an Edinburgher

London Day Three

Took it easy today - just stayed local. Took the bus down to the end of the excellent Upper (Supper) Street. It's full of quirky shops, cafes, pubs and Estate Agents - we stand looking at the prices gasping in disbelief!

We had coffee and the most wonderful muffin (raisin toast for JR) at The Coffeeworks Project. From there we walked along Camden Passage, a wee street jam packed with quirky shops and trendy cafes (I thought the one with the wellies was another quirky cafe, but no, they were actually renovating). So many cafes! Not enough time! We will return.

Another favourite restaurant was discovered - Carluccio's. We had a sharing platter of delicious treats, and tried to persuade the waitress to persuade her boss to set up in Edinburgh! She thought it was a jolly good idea to write to Mr Carluccio and suggest this.

We've had a few emails and photos from Archie Archie's dog sitter. He's having a great time - he was at the beach yesterday and was in the water up to his chin! He also goes to the pub and has a lovely time (The Diggers, LG!).

A game of ping pong in our PJs and an evening in front of the TV is called for. All this city living in the heat is tiring for us old codgers.

A Very Exciting day planned for tomorrow!
