Glacier du Tour

Taken from the flanks of the Aiguille du Possetes this picture shows just how far back some of the glaciers in the Alps have receded. When I first climbed the Tour & Argientierre's this glacier had a huge headwall where now there is only bare rock.

Day one with a new group is always a bit of a shake, rattle & roll day, but everyone came through ok, albeit a bit slow.
