Breagh's Grand Day Out
My first trip to the mainland this year. Breagh and I had an interesting day. We had a clinic with a vet physio at a horse yard. In the morning I learnt massages and stretches to do on dogs, using Breagh as a practise dog and in the afternoon I learnt massage and stretches to do on horses. It was very interesting and I have learnt a lot! I am really proud of Breagh, she struggles in social situations and can get a bit fear aggressive, mainly a bit growly. Her bandana says 'I need my space' to discourage folk from approaching her and to try to keep others folks dogs further away. She was remarkably calm on the ferry with a few people coming to talk to her, even one of the crew I know who had his hard hat on, hats tend to worry her more. At the clinic there was another dog there a bit like her and I encouraged her to ignore it and relax and enjoy the massage and she instantly calmed and was happy to lay on her side while I massaged her. She was approaching strangers for cuddles and being very sociable. So pleased with her today.
15c dry in the morning, torrential rain in the afternoon with where I was thunder and lightening.
