What A Difference A Day Makes!

Day 2 in Istanbul was cold and wet and the streets are very slippery when it's raining.

We walked from the ship up to Taksim Square through a few very "local" streets, thanks to us taking a right turn before we should have done. Taksim Square was deserted , a far cry from last time we were there on a weekend when it was packed with families hanging out and the shops were packed. There wasn't even a tea man in sight.

We did find the right way to go back, down the street with the coloured steps, past the musical instrument shops, and saw all the cats curled up warm and dry inside their favourite shop windows!

Sailaway was very cold, wet and blustery on the top deck and as you can see there was a cloud following us. At least this time leaving Istanbul we weren't heading up the Bosphorus to the chilly Black Sea, but down to the Greek Islands for some sunshine and warmth!
