Boris, Hancock & Connery
A perfect day at the Fringe, with three fab shows and a delicious dinner at our favourite mexican restaurant.
First up was Boris: World King - part satire, part farce, part smart social commentary - about Boris Johnson. Very clever in places - and wonderful to see David Benson performing again.
Second was our first "kill-for-a-ticket-show" - the utterly joyous The Missing Hancocks. A brilliant show featuring radio recording performances of two half hour previously lost Tony Hancock radio shows. Just superb - and there is a second show featuring another two tomorrow - hurrah! Kevin McNally as Hancock is completely perfect. 5* heaven.
Then the puntastic Canadian Stewart Francis - funny in places, especially his riffs on how a Scotsman called Colquhoun would try to spell his name over the phone and Sean Connery's wandering accent in films :)
