Happy Birthday Nico!

When I was pregnant I joined a local NCT ante natal group along with three other mums to be. I was the first to give birth to my beautiful boy. Next was Aditi, as I left hospital, she arrived. She had another beautiful son three days later. Then after us another beautiful boy and a fabulous girl.

The idea of forming a bond between first time mums to be is a clever one. You all discuss how you think you're doing everything wrong. You question each other about your life and emotional state before, during & after the birth. And perhaps most importantly, you share the same exciting new things about being a parent for the first time with other first time parents. I'm still in touch with all three of the NCT class to a greater or lesser extent and have loved watching the children develop into little humans with their own huge personalities.

This weekend we visited the one that got away. She moved with her family when she was pregnant for the second time and we've managed to visit once a year so the boys have stayed in touch (as have we) and this weekend was the younger brothers 4th birthday party.

The boys get on so well. I miss Aditi & her family. I'm sure if they had stayed we would have become great friends. As it is, we are still friends. We will always share that bond of our first born and I can't wait to see them again.
