INTERESTING FIND.........
... on what was an absolutely wonderful winters day (21 degC), after doing some organising for an up coming BBQ of our Prostate Cancer Support Group, went for a walk along the mighty Nepean River. This time a bit further North than the weir.
First found this pelican (in extra)soaring in the wind movements, and thought okay got the Blip for today!!
As I walked back, spotted this bird drop into the wattle tree down the bank. Aimed up for a shot, and nearly as quick as it arrived it took off again! On the camera could not ID, but knew it was something I had not seen before!?
Turns out it is a crested Shrike-tit and although not the best of shots with a bit of the tree in front etc, wanted to Blip being yet another "new find" for my "Birds in and around Penrith" book.
Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
