poppy field

I have spent the afternoon and evening at a photography workshop with my brother in law Bob Winchester. It was run by the charming John Alexander, who took us through the genres of portraiture and landscape photography at some interesting locations in North Oxfordshire, including the lovely cornfield splashed with poppies shown in this picture.
The time went really quickly, I couldn't believe it when it was time to go home. I was getting a bit chilly though, that and John's tales of driving 30 miles at 4.00 on ten different mornings to get the right shot made me realise what an amateur I am!
