Family time

What a lovely day. It has been a long time since we spent proper time with son #2 and having him and K for 2 whole days has been great. We went to Hastings for the day and did all the touristy things as K had never been there before.

It's actually several years since we visited Hastings and it has changed a lot but in a great way. It is thriving on a tourist level without impinging on the history. I was most impressed with a new block of flats built into the cliff front in the same shape and design as the fishermens' sheds of years gone by.

We ate fish and chips, rode the cable car to the nature reserve and wandered around the lovely strange shops in the old town.

At home, having worn Mr Lala out the three of us walked Dog down to the beach. Dog is becoming extra stubborn and refused to come when it was time to leave! I will need to remember to take cheese with me next time I am going to let him off the leash.

Son and K going home tomorrow, I hope they come again soon.
