Crinan Canal
backblip
Yesterday we left Mull and drove down to Tayvallich to camp. It rained most of the day, our tents were wet when we took them down on Mull and they got even wetter putting them up again. We decided enough was enough and treated ourselves to a slap up tea out at a brilliant pub. Martha told me that her food was delicious, even the chocolate ice cream!
Today we went to the Crinan Canal and had a walk along the tow path. It is beautiful with the sea on one side and the canal on the other. We waved at a passing boat and when we saw them again they were waiting to go through a lock and invited us on board! Bill got to captain the boat through the lock, the retired couple on board had spent the last 3 1/2 years sailing around the world and were into the last 2 weeks of their journey, it was brilliant to share in their experience.
