Kew: Run, Pheasant, Run

Going for gold in large.

I visited NHM friends now based at Kew Gardens, and ambled towards the lake after a lovely lunch at The Orangery. Before reaching the lake, a flash of fiery colour burst out from some dense foliage and zoomed across to another patch of cover. It turns out that Kew has golden pheasants; I've only seen pictures before and they really are spectacular! I had fun photographing them, and struggled to choose my blip...
