Hang out the flags

The holiday season is in full swing and the cafés in the square are full of people relaxing and enjoying themselves.  A few of the more energetic will walk up to the monastery in the background and admire the vues over the valley.  I had a quiet day after yesterday's exertions and in anticipation of tomorrow's.  I sorted out some banking business and caught up with some correspondence.  It was French conversation in the afternoon and we read, translated and discussed newspaper articles about seagulls tormenting tourists on the south coast of the UK and the problem pages from a French magazine.
