The heart of the matter
Today was an early start - just after 5am in the pitch black! I was praying from 6-8, so took over from Robb who'd done the 4-6am slot. Such a wonderful time walking the streets and praying and keeping my eyes open for signs of God speaking. Wonderful! (That's the sun rising behind the 'window' in the blip).
Then at 10 Danny came home with Solomon! I hadn't expected that, but we all won - Abby got to prayer walk on her own, and we got an unplanned hour with the lovely Sol.
At 5 the team from Sutton came to do 3 hours, great to see them! And great to see loads of people around town as I sat in the Market Square with a cortado & book (thanks Mishkid!)
And now home, for a tea of fried eggs, smoked salmon & fresh baguette! Yum!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Being reminded of the huge privilege it is to pray here.
2) So many people being involved in the day.
3) Asha being a little legend - she just got all the washing out of the machine! Not bad or 4 years old!
