happy birthday mum

it was very fitting that, out of the blue, mum's godson/pageboy rang up this morning to say that he and his wife would pop in for tea.

m&d would have been so pleased...and also sorry that they are no longer here to see them, and chat, discuss Betjeman, and pour extra strong G&Ts.
