The sun drops below the yard arm

.... After the party the day before, we had a leisurely day... 
It was very hot and sunny, so a walk in the shady woods at Hockley was perfect.

Hockley Woods have played a large part in our family's life.  Mum and Dad used to take us there as children, then partners came along to discover them, then our own children.  Plus dogs of course, Twink, Jasmin and now Sadie.  It's always nice to return.

Then lunch and crossword followed  by general lazing. While lazing a plane circled above trailing a declaration of love for someone ... what a romantic gesture ...

Then we decided to head down to the Leigh-on-Sea for a stroll and a drink at one of the pubs.  

Such a beautiful evening, lots of people out and about....

A lovely weekend ....
