Backyard Bug

My five year old son has a thing for small insetcs and bugs lately. On a recent holiday out in the forest he started collecting these beetles. And of course some of them actually had to come home with us. Yesterday we set them free in our backyard. This one just started posing out on the dandelion flower we put him on. A nice opportunity for me to try to capture a nice bug portrait. 

Taken with a Nikkor 50 mm 1.8 and a couple of extension tubes. Not bad for a low budget Macro setup like mine.
