Say it with flowers!

Back on the wedding trail today with a visit to our friend who has agreed to do the flowers (she is actually a registrar who wanted to marry us ... until we chose a church!!). We decided months ago that gerberas were to be the main flower of choice and had great fun deciding on buttonholes for the men of the party - Dave when faced with the question of wanting white or burgundy came back with his stock answer 'what do I know I'm a geezer!!!'!
The bridesmaids are having a hand tied posy  of roses and gerberas (mainly whites & some burgundy) and the flower girls are having a ball of roses and gerberas (reverse colours to the bridesmaids!). Then we came to deciding on my bouquet ... thankfully what I had in mind tied in beautifully what our florist thought ... and looks right with my dress!! Gerberas will obviously feature again with roses and freesias and other suitable flowers.
Decorations for the church were sorted and we are lucky in the church having this beautiful font (where Dave & his mum were both christened!) as a focal point when you enter the church ... our florist is planning something special to go here. Pew ends, lecterns & pedestals are going to be decked out in our theme with some of the flowers coming back to the hall afterwards.
The table decorations are beautifully easy seeing as we are having an aviation theme (as you do!!) with a single gerbera in a decorative bottle ... and then loads of tiny paper aeroplanes on florist wire!!!
5 1/2 weeks now and it's all starting to become real ... eeek!!!
