Hidden Gems
Today we acted upon the advice given to us yesterday by our friends who suggested two museums for us to visit in London. The first is The Huntarian and the second is The John Soane Museum. What fantastic suggestions they were! The Huntarian is a fascinating museum set in the Royal College of Surgeons and it basically talks you through the history of the development of surgery. It has some gruesome and fascinating exhibits.(Lots of pickled bits and bobs...)
We then went to the John Soane Museum. What a place! I loved it! It's filled with the fascinating life of Sir John and his amazing collection of antiquities. It was a real highlight of the trip and definitely a place to return to.
Sadly no photography was allowed in either museum, but that just allowed me to focus on it more and not get distracted by taking pictures.
This is a quick snap of the bikes at Marylebone Station taken as we walked to our train to return home.
