Small Tortoiseshell...

I think this is a Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly. I'm not sure what sort of summer the butterflies are having. It was hot earlier on and then went cold and damp. But, today the weather is warm and there are lots of plants they like in bloom. This one was sunning itself and having a good feed on the lavender bush.
