Bruce Springsteen?

Maybe not but this guy definitely thinks he's "The Boss!"  Maybe I'll have to name all of the Curve-billed thrashers, Bruce.  Maybe just, New Jersey, from where Springsteen hailed,  which has 'the home of the tough guy' reputation (remember The Sopranos?).

It all fits.  Those steely eyes.  The pointed gun, sharp beak (with the "Roman" bend) and the mean-spirited temperament.  They rarely share at the water dish.  Other birds actually line up waiting for him/them to finish drinking before approaching.

Wow!  The second bird I've made into a mobster in the last few days (and I've never even seen, 'The Godfather').  I don't know what's gotten into me.  Maybe it was seeing all of those Italian friends and family members while we were in Buffalo?   :-)
