Popular potentilla

Today I have mostly been muck spreading. I have spent a lot of time recently clearing a very overgrown and weedy bed in my garden. I kept putting it off as I knew that it would be a dreadful job  but today dug manure in and did some planting.

I bought this potentilla from Oswestry show and it has been sitting in it's pot patiently waiting for me to get on and finish it's new home. Today was the day and it was the first to go in and by far the most popular with the insects. This was one of a number of dark coloured  hoverflies that were  on it as well as flies and little insects.

There are a lot of gaps so I shall have to go to my favourite garden centre again, no doubt coming back with more than I'd planned - as usual!
