A very civilised game

but don't let that fool you into thinking it's not competitive ....

We enjoy the occasional game of bowls with a couple of our friends ... and a fascinating game it is too.   Far too easy to see just the age of most of the players without seeing anything else.  e.g. Phil (kneeling) was apprenticed in the factory where the control surface actuators for the Lightning jet fighters were made, later on he became a science teacher and  the deputy head in one of the largest primary schools in Yorkshire ....I can see his physics lessons might have been worth listening to ....
