Back in Blighty
After our lovely evening in Honfleur, we were all up surprisingly early and after an odd selection of breakfast foods in the hotel, we packed up again and set off for Calais. We made good time and managed to get on an early ferry. It was lovely and quiet, so much more relaxing than our outward journey and the time flew by. Before we knew it, we were rolling into Dover docks and getting ready to disembark.
The photo is of the view from the car as we were 'parking' the boat by the white cliffs.
The house felt enormous when we got in and had that fusty unlived in smell from being shut up for 12 days.
It now smells of clean washing and dogs and very soon....curry!!!! Hurrah!!
Thanks so much for all the stars and hearts for D's flying leap yesterday. I believe I appeared on 'popular' for a while. Very chuffed :)
