Watch out !

I do nt think these Canada geese needed ID to land today but my Mum and Dad had planned to come up in a few weeks and have just found out that they can no longer use their bus pass as photo id and they have nt got anything else they can use. The website is very confusing and it looks like the only possibility is to get a citizen card as long as it arrives by the end of next week and will cost another £30 each not including the photos they will need and payment to a referee if they can find one. A pension book was the other option , these have nt been issued since 2005 !! Fingers cross we can get it sorted, my head hurts !!

Went out for a look at Udale bay at lunchtime, hundreds of Canada geese noisily flapping around in the fresh water. A few greylag and barnacle geese also seen. Groups of lapwing took off together. A few curlew, redshank, wagtails and gulls on the mud and a lovely family of Mallards with the ducklings still quite small. Not a bad day, warm and no rain, so far :)
