Environmental Effects "4"

Most of the populace eat. One of the best ways to speed fresh food to those masses is through farmers' markets. A good deal of those farmers do not use pesticides, discovered through our own one to one conversations with them. So, very true to this personal challenge, we ventured to a popular downtown market this Wednesday. All around us were positive effects. Fresh vegetables and fruits and snacks and prepared food. It was early lunch and I had a kosher hot dog with heaps of pickled vegetables and kimchi from the Picklopolis guy, whom I know from previous dealings. Layne broke her wheat abstention and had pizza with a fried egg. It was late breakfast.
We ate and talked to Portlander, with Phillipino roots videographer Tom, who was part of a group interviewing people about healthcare and insurance.
For dessert I ate a lot of blackberries, and tasted the spirits of Stone Barn Brandy Works. Whiskey from oat & rye, and Apricot, and Rhubarb liqueur. It is now hot midday back home and we are enjoying a Rhubarb liqueur spritzer with fresh blackberries.
Of course! we bought some fresh vegetables including basil for tonight's pesto. I had blipped a panoramic with the iPhone of a good deal of the action, but just before leaving, this non-electronic , easy on the environment artist was oh so appropriate.

On the negative side, no photos included, were a male and female methamphetamine tweaker couple with a toddler in their car. It was not a proper combination. We reported it to the police. Hopefully these victims of the environment can find themselves.

Tomorrow Abstract Thursday AT7.
