Richmond,N. Yorkshire

A day out today to meet my friends - Sylvia and Pete - at Richmond, halfway between where we all live.  It was the last time to see them before we meet up in Japan later in the year.
We visited the Georgian Theatre for a tour, which unfortunately was very disappointing as there was a very noisy group of American students rehearsing for a play, so that we couldn't hear the guide and couldn't get on the stage and see how the scenery worked. Tours should have been cancelled. However we visited the beautiful, award-winning garden of Millgate House, walked along the river and saw the Falls, walked around the Castle (view of Richmond and its obelisk from the Castle Keep), had a meal and had lots to talk about.  On the way back to the car park I spotted these statues of dogs wearing scarves in a garden, and couldn't resist a quick photo.
Another good day out.
